McKay & Smithson Block
Working for the Widmer Brothers we renovated these two historic multi-story brick buildings. On the verge of condemnation, the Widmers’ purchased them for their growing brewery. We spent 5 years bringing the old wood storefronts and wood windows back to life, restoring existing where possible and making and installing new sash and doors to match.
Scope of Work:
- All new beams and sheathing for 2 upper floors.
- New footings in basement with steel posts up through existing walls
- Steel, plywood diaphragm for seismic upgrade
- All new interiors for brewery and offices, wood trim custom milled and finished to period.
- Custom built conference tables
